The Sant Paul School in Udaipur is organizing a CBSE Inter School Mini Marathon on November 9. According to the school’s principal, Father John Bosco, the event is scheduled to begin at 6:30 AM and aims to foster sportsmanship, health awareness, and teamwork among students.
Approximately 1,000 students from classes 9 to 12 of CBSE-affiliated schools in Udaipur are expected to participate. Each participant will receive a complimentary T-shirt for the marathon. The race will commence from the Mahakaleshwar Temple complex and will conclude at the Fish Aquarium located near Fatehsagar Lake.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in the competition. Additionally, each school’s outstanding athlete will be recognized by the chief guest during the event. Father Stephen Rawat, the school manager, noted that the program will be presided over by Maharani Sahibha Nivrutti Kumari Mewar, who will also present awards to the winners.
The chief guest for the occasion will be Dutee Chand, a renowned Indian athlete and gold medalist at the Asian Games, who has also received the Arjuna Award from the Government of India. Dutee Chand is expected to inspire young athletes regarding fitness and sportsmanship. Sanjeev Srivastava, Deputy Secretary of CBSE Ajmer Region and Head of the Excellence Centre, will attend as a special guest.
