Rajasthan’s Ramgarh Vishdhari and Mukundra Tiger Reserves are set to welcome five new tigers this year. The state’s forest department is preparing to relocate these big cats from Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
According to reports, the relocation will involve airlifting male tigers from Maharashtra to bolster the existing tiger population in these reserves. This initiative aims to enhance biodiversity and support conservation efforts in the region.
The introduction of these tigers is expected to contribute positively to the ecosystem and promote tourism in the area, which is increasingly becoming a focal point for wildlife enthusiasts.
The forest department is taking necessary measures to ensure the safe transport and acclimatization of the relocated tigers in their new environment.
