The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has apprehended Maulana Mohammad Usama, an active member of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), in a recent operation in Sanchore, Rajasthan. According to ATS Inspector General Vikas Kumar, Usama had been involved in terrorist activities for the past four years and was in contact with a top commander of the organization.
The arrest took place five days ago during a series of raids conducted by the ATS at multiple locations, including Jaipur, Jodhpur, Sanchore, and Karauli. These operations resulted in the detention of five suspects. The investigation into Usama’s activities led to the discovery of his connections with the TTP.
Usama, who is 25 years old and a mosque cleric in Sanchore, is married and has four children. His brother, Masood, was also targeted during the operation. Initially, Masood evaded capture, but he was later arrested in a follow-up action where ATS seized his mobile phone and documents.
The ATS continues its investigation into the network of individuals associated with terrorist activities in the region.
