The Border Security Force (BSF) is celebrating its 60th Foundation Day, also known as Diamond Jubilee, with a motorcycle rally that commenced from Jammu and is set to conclude in Bhuj, Gujarat. The rally reached Sri Ganganagar on Tuesday evening, where the 48th Battalion welcomed the participants at the BSF Headquarters in the presence of DIG Satyendra Giri. The atmosphere was filled with patriotic chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” as the rally arrived.
The event featured performances highlighting patriotism and included an exhibition of weapons. BSF personnel provided information about various arms to school children and NCC cadets. Assistant Commandant Sagar Patil mentioned that the rally, which began on November 9, includes 60 participants, four of whom are women. The journey spans over 1,800 kilometers and will conclude on November 19 in Bhuj.
The rally aims to promote awareness among the youth about staying away from drugs, highlight the contributions of the BSF, instill patriotism in the younger generation, and encourage recruitment into the force. Additionally, it seeks to convey a message of unity and harmony among citizens.
During the weapons exhibition, BSF personnel shared insights about rifles, pistols, and other arms, emphasizing the modern capabilities of the Indian Army in safeguarding the nation. They explained the operational aspects of handling these weapons to the children. The BSF representatives underscored their role as the first line of defense, stating that their commitment ensures the safety and security of the nation.
