Jodhpur’s Surasagar police have apprehended two individuals suspected of being part of a motorcycle theft gang. The police recovered 13 stolen motorcycles from their possession. According to Surasagar police officer Harishchandra Solanki, a special team was formed to address the rising incidents of theft in the city.
The team monitored suspicious individuals based on received information, leading to the arrest of Mohammad Imran and Megharam from the village of Manai. During intense questioning, the suspects confessed to their involvement in 13 thefts across various locations, including Uday Mandir, Ratanda area, Jodhpur Rural, Jaipur, and Ajmer.
The recovered motorcycles were seized based on the suspects’ indications. Further inquiries are ongoing to investigate their involvement in additional thefts. The first suspect, Mohammad Imran (30), is a resident of Sanjay Nagar in Jaipur and has eight cases registered against him in different police stations. The second suspect, Megharam (25), hails from Jugat Singh Nagar in Jodhpur and has a pending case at Mathania police station.
